Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks (All Under $100)

Heeeelllloooo! Let's just get the awkwardness out of the way. I blame my absence on all the wedding prep going on in my life. To be honest, I heard I can use this excuse until my BIG day actually happens. Friends and family, you shouldn't be surprised to hear this again *wink*

This doesn't mean that I haven't stalked my favorite blogger reads or indulge in some serious online shopping. In fact, I've scored some of the cutest finds this week at Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale! Early access for cardholders ended Thursday, but now everyone has a chance to shop these steep deals before it all ends on August 7th. This fit & flare dress and pair of lace-up sandals couldn't escape me and I picked up a few of these printed shorts for the Mister. Here's a roundup of my favorites, all under $100!

Wedding Wednesday: Engagement Announcements + Win a $200 Starbucks Gift Card

To be honest, I used to roll my eyes when my favorite bloggers decided to do these very same posts. Although I enjoyed seeing pretty photos of lace dresses and floral arrangements from time to time, I always wondered why they didn't just stick to the script. But after four months of being engaged, I've realized how much these posts have helped me, as I begin the planning process for my own wedding. So, if you find yourself saying "Why, Natasha, Why?" I promise you'll thank me sooner or later ;)

The fiancée and I have quite some time on our hands. We've decided on an April 2017 wedding! As much as I'd like to think we have all the time in the world, I don't want to find myself procrastinating over the next year and regretting lost time. It's also nice to know that I can fully enjoy this process and minimize the stress factor (to some degree at least). During these posts, I hope to share tips and tricks, vendors I recommend, processes I found helpful, decor ideas, DIY crafts and most importantly, full-proof ways to save as you plan... because we all know that any little bit helps when preparing for the big day.

My date has been confirmed and my venue has been booked... pheewww! I've probably visited at least 30 venues and analyzed each and every little detail. It boiled down to two, and the fiancée pointed me into the right direction. DONE! Still mulling over some theme ideas, but the big things are out of the way and I feel so blessed to be able to move onto the fun stuff! We've decided that we won't be sending out official announcements, but we are planning to do an engagement shoot and will send save-the-dates to our guest list in a few months. The options are endless and you have to find your own unique style, but I wanted to share these cute engagement photo ideas I saw online:

{#1} FULL-PROOF WAY TO SAVE MONEY ON YOUR WEDDING

Who knew there were FREE printable engagement announcements, save-the-dates and invitation templates you can download online? There are even low-cost custom options you can purchase from designers too! If you can't afford to splurge, this is a great way to save a 'lil cash and invest in something else that's important to you.
