Fringe is IN

The weather has already hit 90 degrees here in the Sunshine State, and my friends apparently have Summer on their minds. Beach trips are being planned, and swimsuit shopping needs to happen STAT. I never thought I'd be saying this, but this season's new "FRINGE" trend is itching my interest.

What are your thoughts on the "FRINGE" trend?

  1. I like the #3 and #5 kind of fringe because it adds flair and possibly even the illusion of more volume to the chest area.

I'm from Miami, yet I have a really hard time shopping for bathing suits. You'd think I'd have it all figured out by now. I saw this AMAZING site last year (I think based in Hawaii?) that sold figure-flattering bikinis. I can't remember the name of the site and it's been so frustrating! I think I came across the brand either through Nany's Kloset, or maybe Capture Fashion... It was a Miami-based blog for sure.

I usually just get them through Victoria's Secret, since I think they offer the most structure up top where I need it the most. Do you have any favorite swimsuit brands?

    1. Nathy,

I too have a hard time finding bathing suits! ..and living in Florida, I need to keep my swim drawer full! The year they decided to sell separates, was a gift from god! :) I typically purchase mine from Victoria Secrets and Everything But Water. I've even purchased a few from Target, however, the sizing seems to be a little off for petite/smaller women.

      Thanks for reading!

    2. Yeah, Target has some cute stuff but they're not very good quality. I agree; I have really small hips, and Target bottoms are usually either too large or too small on me. And the material is very thin, although some VS bathing suits have that problem too.

Thanks for your comments as well! :)

  2. I think I like the ruffle more than the fringe.... Maybe if there was an inch of trim around the bikini bottom and not on the top I'd like it. It just seems distracting and "high-maintenance" on top.

  3. I really like it, but don't know if it would look so good when wet.

  5. I think it's really adorable (on everyone else). I just feel like I'm way to old to wear something like this!

  7. I think it looks cute but I agree with the ladies above...once it gets wet, it won't be as cute. And the tan lines...probably not for me!
